Firstly, this is the first video I have done and been in myself so I really like it and find it interesting to watch. The whole filming process was surprisingly long and arduous...I am amazed at the volume of footage required for only 3 and a half minutes of film. And the cold in Collier's Wood didn't help. The song is not about a stalker or unrequited love so much as love lost and the breakdown of that relationaship, particularly the wishing for the other person to understand and believe in the most important parts of a relationship rather than being swayed by superficial feelings. However, the whole ide of writing (and the thread rund through the album) is that anyone can identify with the songs and see something in each for themselves (hence the album title "Songs About You"). I am delighted and interested in your interpretation of the material.
As for the video itself, I realise now that I should have taken more account of the whole filming process and not had a haircut and grown a beard in the middle of the filming weeks. That is something to remember for next time! The section at the end with me walking away gives as sense of the story lasting longer than the 3 and a half minutes when it is on screen. I hope the viewer takes something away with them, whether that just be the tune in their head or the question posed in the title of the song.
Regards
Adam Wilson Hunter
