The other half of the digipak would represent the hidden meaning in his love songs about deception and how peoples looks can deceive you, shown in one of his lines in which he says "Don't look for love in faces, they confuse you with a smile, complicate your reasons, for an everlasting life". This would be represented as negativity through dark colors and long sots to show loneliness and isolation.
We liked this idea as it was relevant and related to the lyrics. It was not conventional for an artist to have a deeper meaning in their songs that are not blatantly obvious to the audience or highlighted. In the end we decided to have a consistent black and white theme throughout, instead of having positivity and a contrasting side, both sides would be entirely black and white. From a technical point of view this was the more logical choice as our artist already has photoshoot pictures with our preferred shot types (long shots to represent emotion and close ups or mid shots to show positive emotions). Also these pictures are in black and white, which would save us time and effort and they have already been approved by our artist as representing him appropriately.
